This meditation was done with a congregation of adults and is based on an outline in The Art of Theological Reflection.
We asked people to think of their point of conversion or a critical stage in their spiritual journey and played an audio clip of an evangelistic sermon to a group of young people. We then set a series of tasks, one by one, and displayed them on screen allowing three minutes to reflect on each.
- Think of an event in your early Christian experience that illustrates why you follow Jesus.
- Think of an image/picture/metaphor which expresses that event.
- Ask the questions: What does this say about God; about me?
